ARMAND VAN HELDEN & HERVÉ – ‘POWER OF BASS’

MINISTRY OF SOUND

FORTHCOMING

Armand Van Helden and Hervé, two of dance music’s heavyweights, team up on the colossal future club classic ‘Power Of Bass’, forthcoming on Ministry of Sound Recordings.
Collaborations don’t get much more exciting than this. Armand Van Helden can boast a Grammy nomination as well as genre-defining number ones from remixing Tori Amos ‘Professional Widow to his own single ‘U Don’t Know Me’ and the massive ‘Bonkers’ which he produced for Dizzee Rascal.
Hervé, aka Joshua Harvey is one of the most respected producers in the game and via his many monikers including The Count (& Sinden), Machines Don’t Care and Voodoo Chili, has been one of the biggest influences in defining electronic music. Hervé is also the label boss of Cheap Thrills, which helped launch the careers of Jack Beats and Fake Blood.
Impossible to ignore, ‘Power Of Bass’ kicks straight into life via an undeniably infectious old skool synth line and a monstrous bassline that will have dancefloors shaking from the underground to the mainstream. Both producers wanted to recreate the sound of early 90’s house mixed with their contemporary unique takes on dance music.
The UK’s very own Grammy nominated writer/producer MNEK was called in to provide the hooks and the result recalls the naïve, playful and energetic sound of one of the most exciting times in music. Pure joyous house!!
With such a phenomenal track record between Armand Van Helden and Hervé, you can guarantee that ‘Power Of Bass’ is going to be amplified everywhere in 2014.
