Breach Ft Kelis |The Key
16th November 2014 via Atlantic Records
2013 proved to be a pretty monumental year for the chart-storming Breach aka Ben Westbeech, heralding the release of one of the most infectious songs of the summer in the form of his dancefloor behemoth ‘Jack’ and seeing him follow that success with yet another UK top 10 hit in ‘Everything You Never Had (You Had It All)’, featuring the honeyed vocals of Flying Lotus and Bonobo collaborator Andreya Triana.
Bolstered by releases on his own Naked Naked imprint and an acclaimed DJ Kicks compilation released at the close of last year, Westbeech has garnered major support and heavy rotation both on the airwaves and in the club from the likes of Disclosure, Skream, Jackmaster, Duke Dumont, Annie Mac, Heidi, Rob Da Bank and Artwork to name a few, landing the cover of DJ Mag and firmly establishing Breach at the forefront of UK dance music.
Fresh from the Spring release of his techno and house flavoured ‘Artis’ EP on Will Saul’s AUS label, Breach is now back all guns blazing with club-ready anthem ‘The Key’, featuring vocals from the legendary Kelis. Starting life as a rework of Kelis’ hit single ‘Rumble’, taken from her stunning sixth LP Food, the soul star joined Westbeech in the studio to give the track a significant revamp. Those inimitable vocals are chopped up, slick synth stabs are layered in and pneumatic beats deployed in a tune that is set to unlock the dancefloor when it drops via Atlantic Records on 16th November 2014.
Catch Breach playing across the globe this Autumn with dates including Amsterdam Dance Event  and a return to Manchester’s infamous Warehouse Project with The Chemical Brother.
