Following on from the success of his #2 UK charting track “How We Roll”, the I.D Mixtape which featured “Bad Boys Don’t Cry” and his last single Nobody feat. Chip & Wretch 32 – Loick Essien is back with his brand new single ‘NUMBER ONE’ which is taken off his highly anticipated EP – S.M.R due for release this summer.
L O I C K is widely regarded within the industry as one of the most explosive vocal talents around, in the past he has featured on some of the urban world’s most memorable collaborations.
From Chipmunk’s debut single ‘Beast’ to Bashy’s ‘Black Boys’, he has also worked with the likes of the best of the UK’s talent such as Labrinth, NDubz, Naughty Boy, Wretch, Tinchy Stryder, Stormzy, G Frsh, Chip, Yungen and Ms. D. More recently L O I C K has been in sessions with Disturbing London’s All About She (Higher), Mo-Samuels (6Words) and Rymez (Wiley Heatwave) his vocals bring something that is smoothly refined and perfectly produced.
L O I C K is amped for the summer and has been able to capture the vibe and put this energy on to his latest release ‘Number One’, which was premiered by DJ Cameo on BBC 1Xtra. This first release is produced by Rymez and Sillkey and is tipped to be the summer 2015 Anthem. ‘Number One’ is taken from his forth coming EP S.M.R which also is filled with up-tempo tracks which works in line with this first release.
