Debut album ‘Hotel Cabana’ featuring a stellar cast of urban and pop artists to be announced

In just four years, British producer, songwriter and creative visionary Naughty Boy, has experienced an incredible career trajectory. From a tiny shed in Watford to his own state-of-the-art studio in Ealing, Shahid Khan has crafted compositions for everyone from Tinie Tempah, Wiley and Professor Green to Cheryl Cole, Leona Lewis and Emeli Sandé. The latter’s debut album ‘Our Version Of Events’, largely produced by Naughty, shot to No.1 earlier this year and is the biggest selling new album of the year so far. The cool master conductor has reintroduced the charts to the sound of ska, edgy urban beats and trip hop as well as uplifting, thought -provoking tunes rich with emotion, grandeur and drama.

‘Wonder’ is the first single to be released by Naughty Boy. The euphoric track with its uplifting carnival sound is the first single to be taken from his debut album ‘Hotel Cabana’ out early next year. The video for the track directed by Nadia Otzen, sees Emeli on a journey to the spectacular ‘Hotel Cabana’ being guided by the elusive gatekeeper.

Eighteen months in the making, Naughty Boy’s debut album transcends music alone – it’s a concept, a world, a story: Hotel Cabana. The conceptual album features a stellar cast of urban & pop superstars, launching with Emeli Sandé with many more to be revealed, each playing a character in this filmic narrative; “I want it to be an album for our time; it has a concept to it, so it’s more like a film in some respects,” says Naughty, “I view it like I’m not just a producer – I’m a director too”.

Hotel Cabana is a place that’s as much a metaphor as it is a geographical location, as much a state of mind as a tangible space filled with people creating and sharing the experience. Yet not everything here is always as it seems.
The doorway’s the same, but the entrance can exist anywhere. Every doorway leads you back to the same place, this place, The Hotel Cabana – with some invisible force pulling the strings in this tarnished paradise.
