Sony Music’s Epic Records are pleased to announce they have signed a deal with X Factor 2013 R’n’B band Rough Copy and are set to release their debut single on 29th June.
A re-working of the 80s classic “Sweet Love” by Anita Baker featuring the band’s own verses, Rough Copy’s “Street Love” has been produced by Beatfreakz, the production team behind the likes of Usher and Jason Derulo.
Rough Copy said: “Being signed to Epic makes everything worthwhile; all the hard work, all the grafting and difficult times makes this a magical and memorable moment that will live with us for years to come. We can finally take off the X-Factor training wheels and enter the big industry”
“Along with being signed to a huge major label, we are also excited and happy to announce that we will be releasing our first official single ‘Street Love’. We can’t wait to hit stages everywhere and deliver performances to be remembered!!! How Epic is that?!”
The band are currently working on their debut album.
Rough Copy are Kazeem Ajobo, Sterling Ramsey and Joey James.
