US lyricist Knytro unveils new track ‘Capone’and announces debut EP ‘The Griffin’

Fresh from featuring on Chase & Status’s remix of their track ‘Gangsta Boogie’ alongside fellow rapper Raekwon, Knytro unveils ‘Capone’, premiered by Pigeons and Planes. Capone is the first track taken from his debut EP The Griffin, set for free release on 9th June.

Signed to MTA Records (owned and founded by Chase & Status), Knytro’s characteristic hip hop styling is a refreshing wave in the current climate; and cut with his modern influences his debut mixtape ‘Project Haarpoon’. undoubtedly turned heads last year, with BBC Radio 1’s Zane Lowe quoting it as the ‘best mixtape of the year’.

With online support from the likes of i-D Magazine, Jay Z’s Life + Times, Vertex FM & Vertex Magazine,Wonderland Magazine, Notion Magazine and many more, and set to perform at countless festivals this Summer including Love Box, Global Gathering, Boardmasters, and Ibiza Rocks as well as gracing the Hip Hop Open Festival in Germany along side Nas, Dilated Peoples and De La Soul, 2014 is looking to be a huge year for Knytro.
