Labrinth |Let It Be | Out Now
Syco Music, LONDON: Musical maverick, Labrinth makes a striking return with new single ‘Let It Be’  through Syco Music. ‘Let It Be’ follows Labrinth’s 2013 BRIT nominated, platinum-selling #1 hit single ‘Beneath Your Beautiful.

Let It Be’ mixes up seventies soul, crunchy guitar riffs, thumping piano chords, space-age effects and an inescapable ear-worm melody. It’s a comeback worthy of Labrinth’s shooting-star talents.
“I knew I had been gone a long time and needed to come back with a single that was special, something forward-thinking,” explains Labrinth. “I wanted an opening statement to my second album and I put extra pressure on myself to come up with that.” He admits scrapping months worth of songs as he felt they were just not special enough. In the end, ‘Let It Be’, the song he was striving for ended up being the result of one, all-night session.
Labrinth performed the single for the first time on Sunday, surprising unsuspecting passers-by in Camden with an impromptu gig. He appeared on a specially created stage in Camden Stables playing a piano before more members of his band appeared from the crowd to join him on the stage. News of his performance quickly spread with hundreds of fans vying to join the crowd for the exclusive and intimate performance by one of the UK’s most talented artists.
Since Labrinth debuted in 2010 with ‘Let The Sunshine’ he has toured extensively, growing into a confident singer and showman, wowing audiences on his sold out tours and festival slots. His debut album Electronic Earth went platinum and produced six hit singles including ‘Earthquake’ and ‘Express Yourself’ and culminating in ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ which became his debut hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US as well as top a 40 hit in more than 10 countries worldwide. He’s already sold over five million singles globally. As a writer, artist and producer he has received an Ivor Novello and MOBO award. His creativity has been called upon by artists as diverse as Ed Sheeran and Alicia Keys.
Labrinth’s forthcoming second album bristles with ambitious future-soul and sees the 25-year-old step front and centre as a star. Once again he writes, performs and produces the whole album. He recorded the album between studios in Hollywood and his home studio in North London. The album will be released later this year.
