Following huge hits as co-writer and vocalist on Oliver Heldens’ number 1 track ‘Gecko (Overdrive), Wilkinson’s drum n bass anthem ‘Afterglow’ and Rudimental’s soaring ‘Powerless’, BECKY HILL is now set to step out with her first solo material entitled ‘CAUTION TO THE WIND’ which will be made available on iTunes through Parlophone Records.
A taster track, the exquisite kalimba-based ‘CAUTION TO THE WIND’ was produced and co-written by Two Inch Punch (Jessie Ware, Sam Smith) and is a beautifully understated song that works itself into your sub-conscience; house in essence, this is fundamentally a pop track in hiding.
Of the song Becky says, “When I was working on the track all I could hear was the phrase ‘Caution to the wind’, which I really liked. When I looked it up I saw it was an idiom and I decided to write a song based around idioms. There are around thirteen on Caution like ‘Come hell or high water’ and ‘I’m going to go the extra mile’. They’re how I feel about myself and my music.”
